Zack Rogers with Integrated Design Associates provided daylighting design and analysis services, electrical engineering and lighting design services for this educational center located in downtown Oakland.  The project, designed by MVEI Architects, includes La Escuelita Elementary, MetWest High School, Yuk Yau, and Centro Infantil CDC.

The project features brightly daylit courtyards between classrooms provide balanced and amply daylight throughout.  The project has goals of grid-neutrality with the highly efficient design and a large photovoltaic array on the roof.  The project has achieved the California Collaborative for High Performance Schools (CHPS) certification.  Progress on the project can be seen here
